The great Urdu poet and short story writer Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi passed away the morning of July 10, 2006, in a local hospital in Lahore. He had suffered from some breathing problem for quite some time. He was more than eighty years old at the time of his
href="/tag/death">death. At the time of his death his son Noman Qasmi, his daughter Naheed Qasmi and his adopted daughter Mansoorah Ahmad who was also assistant editor at "Fanoon" (Nadeem was the editor) were present.
"From God we are and to Him shall we return."
