Rain! Oh Beautiful Rain!
Don’t fall on the window pane,
I want to play with you,
But not get wet in vain!

There was a time when we would play!
When times were merry; happy and gay,
Until the deadly fever struck,
Helpless on the bed I lay!

Now that I bedridden lay!
'Come n play' is what you say,
But in my ears, the doctor’s warning rings,
'In the rain, you shall not play!'

I know we could have had a blast!
However my temptation has passed,
Don’t be sad I didn't play today,
