God, Religion and Spirituality

God, Religion and Spirituality

There are three types of believers.
A) Those who believe that no human being can know whether God
exists or not.
B) Those who believe that there is no God.
C) Those who believe in God’s existence.
I will discuss them here, one by one.

A) These are ones who doubt. God may or may not exist. Both plausibilities don’t make any difference to them. They are fearless. If there is no God, well and good. If God does really exist and they must go to hell after death for not believing, they are sure to meet many strong believers (in God) there. So, what is the harm in not believing? Or believing? Because they are not entirely rejecting Him, so to say! So, they sometimes appear not to believe in God and sometimes, overwhelmed by the magnanimity, beauty, ugliness, ecstasy and melancholy of the whole creation, appear to believe in Him.
B) These are ones who are completely materialistic and believe in very tiny basic particles which after reacting among themselves gave rise to a matter which started thinking and which, in turn, gave rise to a thought called God. But that is a thought, any way! Because, if humans decide not to think than will there be a God? Who thinks?
Though they claim to be most scientific and logical, they fail to answer as to who created those tiny particles in the first place! They postulate theories of all kinds and reject them subsequently. After many big words like Big bang, matter, anti-matter and all, they have given up on the question of the ultimate Who! Or which?
C) Now the most important ones, multifaceted but uniform, everywhere but centered, faultless but confused.
Q) Who created God?
A) He created Himself.
Q) From what?
A) He created Himself out of nothing?
Q) Is ‘Nothing’ more omnipotent, more omnipresent, more omniscient, more merciful, more just to create God?
A) Please refer to the Religion. [And then to the Scriptures, Traditions and Sword (Bomb) in that order!]
Now, when we refer to Religion, there really a God is! And He is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscience, merciful and just. And humans, in addition to performing their worldly duties honestly, morally, kindheartedly, dutifully, humbly, piously and passionately, are required to surrender before Him. And suppose if one gets oblivious to surrender while performing his worldly duties, or does not find time to pray (while performing all these worldly duties) and overlooks God*, and, lastly, if one performs all these duties and does not believe in God? What the God should do to all these creatures? Should He punish them?
Having discussed these three types of believers let us now discuss their merits.
Whosoever created this world, he/He did create humans capable of reasoning as well as capable of experiencing abstract and inexplicable things. This is common to persons belonging to all the groups mentioned above.
Persons belonging to the group A, i.e. the doubters, are the most happy creatures. Though fearless and capable of taking on the others belonging to group B and C, they don’t argue much. So, they are also the most harmless believers. They live and let live. But don’t think that they don’t try to figure out what is this fantastic thing called the world. They are indeed mesmerized by the greatness of the creator. They have not come to any conclusion yet and so, keep on thinking about how best they can play their part in this fantastic world. They are surely materialistic but don’t deny spirituality. Or, vice versa.
Persons belonging to the group B, i.e. the non believers, claim to be scientific thinkers. They think that all the questions of this world can be satisfactorily explained as the scientific knowledge expands. Everything contained in this universe is either matter or energy and the universe is running on the inter-reactions between the two. Only because humans have not yet gained enough knowledge about this phenomenon they don’t find it correct to believe in god even for the time being. They appear to be quite harmless but their rejection of spirituality and their firm belief in the ‘cause and effect’ theory may breed in them a kind of total materialistic feeling. In future, they can be quite heartless types.
Lastly, the persons belonging to the group C, i.e. the believers, though claim to believe in only God, in fact, simultaneously and apperantly as a natural logic, start believing in Religion. Now, one must surrender and pray, and pray according to ways of their respective religions. Live and die as called for by the scriptures. And what are scriptures? Collections of selected items of traditions. See, they (the believers) suddenly become pagans themselves, pagans, who believed that Sun, trees, rivers, etc will hear their prayers and forgive them if sacrifice is made.
But, if God is all-powerful, knows everything and is just and merciful, what is the need to pray. Should not he reward or punish only according to one’s deeds? Should He not allow Himself to be impressed by the show of someones venerations? Is He a boss in some government office or what? If he lets the culprits get away by taking bribes from them what will happen to his Godly justice.
Lastly, a short conclusion.
From the above discussion it may appear that persons belonging to Group C are spirituals. But they are not. If they are really such then why they respond to a so called non believer physically and not spiritually? Why the formless Almighty or His messenger is thought to be desecrated by a cartoon? If, somehow, they could focus their belief in God they can reach the level of spirituality which is manifest among persons belonging to Group A. As regards the Group B people, they might, in future, create a thinking robot that would even shed electronic tears and might get angry or laugh but these emotions could very well be stopped at the flick of a button.
Yes, the doubters are the real believers. They have completely surrendered to the Almighty. They say, we never knew and can never know about Him. What is the point in wasting time praying, pilgrimaging or doing things like that. We have better things to do. God has given us everything and He will take care of us if we follow most simple things like say, ‘we should not hurt others’, etc, etc. and always listen to our conscience.
Only doubters can save the world from the mess created by the believers and from the mess that might be created by the non believers.
