Silence in the dreary woods,
Quiescence in the sea,
Echoes of a million tales untold,
tales of chivalry!
Walking in the woods today
I talked loud and low,
To the ever listening trees
I said my silent woe.
They answered all my questions
in a youthful delight!
In my world of darkness
they
let in some light.
There is a being within us,
a shadow of the Lord,
that gives us honest company
and helps us like God.
Smiling at my silly heart,
I walked back contented,
I've finally made the decision
that I've always resented!
Silence and solitude are essential to get in touch with the inner self. I found my sense of direction after a long quiet walk in the woods.
