MOLE - All About Your Future And Personality

Beauty Spot

No, no, no. I am not writing about the furry mammal or a spy/undercover agent or the Avogadro’s Number or a Mexican spicy sauce or a breakwater.

I am writing about that (permanent and usually dark) Beauty Spot of ours found anywhere on the skin. Mostly noticed on the face, it can also be found
hidden under armpits, on the back, or you name it. Remember Cindy Crawford, Enrique Iglesias, and Madonna with their famous facial beauty spots. At times people confuse them with birthmarks and freckles.

Moles are generally found on ankle, arm, armpit, back, belly, cheek, chest, chin, ear, elbow, eyes, eyebrow, finger, foot, forehead, hand, heel, instep, knee, legs, lip, navel, neck, nose, shoulder, temple, thigh, tongue and wrist among other locations of the body.

There are 25 focal points on the face, where moles can be found and their location signifies luck or otherwise. That is another interesting aspect but sadly I’ve not mentioned it here.

The study of Moles is called MOLEOSOPHY. According to it, this birth mark can tell about your future and personality traits (character) based on its location, colour, size and shape.

National Mole Day is celebrated annually on October 23 from 6:02 am to 6:02 pm. It is an unofficial holiday celebrated among chemists in North America. It was founded by Maurice Oehler on May 15, 1991. It commemorates Avogadro’s Number (6.02x10^23) that’s a basic measuring unit in Chemistry. (Chemistry students have all the more reason to look out for their moles.)

Moles have become so famous that new words have been coined. For instance:
• What summer fruit do you like? – WaterMOLEn
• Famous line from Shakespeare – To MOLE or not to MOLE, that is the question.
• What night crean do you use? Oil Of MOLay
• Do you exaggerate? - Sure. I make mountains out of MOLE hill.
• Your kind of music – Mock ‘n’ MOLE
• Ice cream + chocolate + milk = a chocolate MOLted
• Why's there only one Statue of Liberty! – When they made it, they broke the MOLEd

You can coin your own words like remolte control, molar express, thermole, molebile, smole or whatever you like. You can whack the mole but moles are forever.

How about mole of fortune, secret agent double mole seven, remember the alamole, mole madness, pi a la mole, molar reflections, molar odyssey, ride the moler coaster, it’s a mole world, celebrate the molennium, an ace in the mole, moledi gras, molemorial day, the mole the merrier, go for the mole, mole out the barrel, molympics, moleopoly, moletin board.

I have three moles. I could find the characteristics of two easily. The third one due to its unusual location is proving to be a truant. Hmm.

The following is a general analysis. If your mole is anywhere else (apart from the locations mentioned below) please do write back to find its specific nature. You can also let me know the direction (left or right side) and know its specifics. Moles were never so special, eh! Spot your mole and rediscover yourself.

So, let’s get into the “chemistry of our own dear mole based on its geography and find what it tells about us. Let’s Rock ’n’ Roll with the MOLE. You can even emole (sorry, email) me your responses.

(PS: Take some of the observations with a pinch of salt, the remaining with fun and none with seriousness)

Have a mirror handy. And Get…Set…GO!

The interpretation of moles and birthmarks depends upon two factors, their actual physical appearance and the part of the person's body that they appear upon.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:

Size: In general, the larger the mole or birthmark is, the greater the force of the omen which it indicates (either good or bad). Thus a large mole portends more than a very small mole, which is not totally discounted but said to not have much force behind it in relation to its omen assignation.

Shape: A round mole or birthmark is fortunate, but one pointed, angular, or straight-sided brings bad luck. One that is raised and stands out prominently is very fortunate, unless it is modified by other circumstances. An oblong mole depicts a modest share of acquired wealth.
Color: Light colored moles and birthmarks (white, yellowish, honey-colored, pale brown, or red) have positive significance and are lucky; darker the color- the more strength in its influence for misfortune.

Hairiness: The more hairs present on a mole or birthmark, the more unfortunate it's meaning; while a hairless one can be regarded a s a positive sign unless its influence is affected by a modifying circumstance. Long hairs are unfortunate in monetary concerns; thus shorter hairs brighten the prospects in the money/wealth department.

LOCATION:

Abdomen; Stomach: lazy (I am. YO!)

Ankle: On either ankle, gives refinement and delicacy and a bit of foppishness to a man. In a woman it signifies great energy and ability with a touch of bravery, optimism, hard-working, and independence.

Arm: On the right arm, it foretells of success in life; most of the enterprises to which the person puts his/her hand on will have a satisfactory result. If it is the left arm, however, anxiety over financial matters will never go away for long.

Back: A mole on the back gives an open, frank and generous disposition with a tendency towards display. There is a strong romantic strain in the character, which is inclined to degenerate into sensuality and a love of luxury if it the mole is located very low down in this area.

Cheek, Mouth:
Right Cheek; Foretells a happy and fortunate marriage; the nearer to the mouth it is located, the greater will be the wealth and good fortune brought to the person by their spouse. The lucky possessor of a mole on this part of the body will never face poverty or anxiety.

Left Cheek: Is an omen that warns of many difficulties in achieving fortune and success. Courage, perseverance, and a firm will are needed in the many struggles that can fall to the person. Those who possess these qualities in a good manner stand a good chance of winning these battles and build up a good career; but weaker and less sure persons will be more apt to "go under" as fate is against them.

Chin: Fortunate indeed to have a mole on either side of the chin for it is thought to be a sure sign that they will be favored by destiny in almost all of their undertakings. Even without much effort on their own part, they stand a chance to be lifted to wealth and prosperity; and will enjoy everyone’s affection and regard.

Ear: A mole on either ear tells that the person has a reckless disposition.

Eye: A mole located near the outer corner of either eye it is said that the person will be of a placid, frugal, and temperate nature.

Eyebrow, Temple: A mole on the right eyebrow portends of an adventurous and happy marriage, very probably wedded at an early age also. If situated on the left eyebrow, the prospect is not as fortunate.

Foot: A mole on the right foot shows a great love of travel, if the same person has a mole on the left foot as well, it is a sign that they will also be able to indulge in this love. A mole on the left foot alone reveals a quick intellect and well-developed sense of thought.

Forehead, Temple:
Right Side: Thought to be a mark of outstanding ability and mental power, which will help the person to prosper.
Traveling is also indicated.

Left Side: Is said to foretell that person will have little to no clue about the value of money, and is likely to be found in a state of monetarily over-extending themselves due to their own knack for squandering and extravagance.
Middle: Said to have great successes in affairs of the heart. A woman with this mark will count her admirers by the dozen; the man will have the finesse of a Don Juan.

Hand: If the back of one or both hands is marked by a mole, great natural ability can be concluded; attainment of success in life as the fruit of their own talents. If only on the left hand, it lessens the fortunate significance

Jaw: To have a mole on either side of the jaw is an unlucky sign, revealing weak health and resulting in a hampered career. The omen is more inauspicious if the mole is on the left hand side.

Knee:
Right Knee: Happy marriage, the wedded life will pass easily and smoothly; unhampered by monetary problems or serious stresses.

Left Knee: Be more inclined to act without forethought ... and will often have cause to regret this reckless attitude. At heart, though, will be upright and kindly and possess a sympathetic nature.

Leg: mole on any part of either leg between the knee and ankle areas shows a careless and indolent nature; a person who possesses a mole in this area will most likely be selfish, lazy, and lacking sympathy towards others.

Lip, Mouth: On either lip, a mole foretells of a pleasant, upbeat personality combined with a hint of sensuality and indolence. Those who have a mole so placed are fond of the good things in life and often turn deaf ear to duty if it conflicts with this pursuit of pleasure. They are ardent lovers and yet their constancy is not above reproach. If the mole is large and located on the lower lip, this omen has a more sensual significance; the women are thought to be heartless flirts and the men not any better. If the mole is on the upper lip, greater delicacy is revealed although the nature of the person is sensual, it is modified and controlled by refinement and good taste.

Neck, Throat: A mole on the side of the neck reveals that the person will suffer a remarkable up and down feeling in the course of their life. The progress of career will at first be slow, but with persistence can be rewarded. Unforeseen gifts and legacies and inheritances are indicated as well the fortitude of having faithful friends.

Nose: A very lucky sign, for these folks will enjoy success and prosperity, and practically every undertaking will have a satisfactory outcome. Wide travelling and frequent change of scenery is there. A mole on the side of the nose (especially in women) often gives a voluptuous temperament.

Ribs side: Weak, cowardly disposition is revealed by a mole on the right side of the ribs. Those who have this mark so placed will be indolent, lacking in intelligence and delicacy, and of a bullish nature. If the mole is on the left hand side, these characteristics will be modified to some extent and tempered with a touch of good humour.

Shoulder: A mole on either shoulder portends of a life of hard work with much adversity.

Thigh: A mole on the thigh gives a warm, enthusiastic temperament. Mole on the right thigh denotes prosperity and a happy marriage. Mole on the left thigh is a warning of loss of money, injustice and loneliness; the warmth and frankness of their personality will be met with many rebuffs. It is a very common occurrence that a mole on the thigh is also accompanied by one on the ear.

Throat: A mole on the throat or on the front of the neck is a fortunate sign ... denoting of a wealthy marriage or successful career.

Wrist: Person having a mole on either right or left wrist will have a very interesting and successful career. Their own intelligence and the talents they are blessed with are valuable assets and will generally ensure them of success and happiness in life.

Twin Moles: When there are twin moles irrespective of their location, the person possesses a dual nature. The presence of two moles, side by side, is indicative of a person being in love with two people.
