The West has struck again and from the Muslim
World the reaction is the same: a muted confusion. This is not the first
time in the last one hundred years that this has happened, and if things
continue the way they are, it surely will not be the last.
Let
facing domestic troubles. In order to distract the mindless masses, he
finds a convenient scapegoat and gives his people something else to think
about. By the time the masses are done digesting the new dish of distraction,
everything of the past would be hopefully lost in the black hole of memory.
All would be okay, and normalcy would prevail.
Let us dissect this situation even further: The action of the Western
leader rests upon four key observations. First, that the masses are mindless,
have short attention spans and even shorter memories. Second, that the
ruse of a foreign threat is a proven formula that works in the game of
politics. Third, that a scapegoat should be weak, because the weak can
neither retaliate against aggression nor refute the accusations. And last,
the ideal scapegoat is that who is already viewed by the mindless masses
as guilty.
Before we go further, let us dispense of the greatest lie of the modern
age: That all people are created equal. Let us replace this infantile fantasy
with the harsh reality. The lives of rich people are worth much, much more
than those of poor people. And the societies of rich people are valued
much, much more than those of poor people. In the real world, might is
right, power rules and the weak are destined
for exploitation and obliteration. Any one who argues against this,
in the presence of overwhelming historical evidence of thousands of years
to the contrary, is a poor deluded fool.
And we should remind ourselves of one more thing: the rich and the powerful,
people or civilizations, will use all means at their disposal, to perpetuate
their positions. That includes all physical and psychological tools available.
That also includes indoctrinating the weak and the children of the weak
in a manner that they will not pose a threat to the existing power structures.
Again, the historical
evidence for this observation is overwhelming, and anyone who refutes
it is again a sad, sad soul indeed.
So let's go even further: Why is it that Muslims are targeted as scapegoats
but others are not? Why is it that the West chooses to fire missiles at
Muslims, but not at China or Russia, countries that have caused much more
damage to Western interests than all Muslim countries combined? Why is
it that Muslims are guilty until "proven" innocent - whereas for everyone
else, the reverse holds true? There are two obvious reasons.
First, because the Muslims cannot respond in kind. No matter how the
media of the Western state machinery chooses to represent Muslims across
the world, the fact remains that a vast majority of them are from
under-developed and poor Third World countries. They are poor and weak,
and are therefore convenient targets of aggression. If Muslim countries
had the power and wealth of a Western country, Russia or China, U.S would
never dare to fire missiles based upon its momentary whims. If Bill Clinton
knew that every cruise missile would result in two flying back into Washington,
he would behave very differently. The present politics of intimidation
would be replaced by a "diplomatic inquiry", and the two powers would try
to resolve their differences "amicably". The basis of the West's consistent
policy of intimidation and terror against the Muslims is the sheer inequality
of power between the two. In this respect, the West behaves in a very predictable
fashion -i.e. that of a bully. By definition, a bully is a coward who only
picks on opponents much smaller in size, and the West is remaining consistent
to its policy over the last century or more. Until this basic dichotomy
in the actual and perceived power of the Muslims and the West is not addressed,
I see no change in the high-handed policies of the Western nations. There
is a second reason why the Muslims are targetted as a group. That is because
the West fears the Muslims, their numbers, their faith, their history,
their culture, and most importantly their strategic and economic potential
in the modern world. Politics is a game of promoting one's interests at
every cost, by forging alliances with some and by opposing others. In this
game the Muslims are potential (but currently weak) players, who, once
empowered, would demand their share of global power and resources that
the West currently almost has a monopoly on. The West therefore will do
everything at its disposal, as it has consistently in the past, to prevent
the Muslims from becoming one nation, one voice and one power. It will
use power, strategem and connivance to get its way. It will disrupt the
social fabric of Muslim societies and replace it with an institutionalized
indoctrination that teaches the superiority of the West. It will perpetuate
systems that produce slaves, that cater to the whims of their masters and,
even when pushed relentlessly, will not be able to respond to the aggressors
as they should.
Until the Muslims realize the brain washing they have been subjected
to for decades, and until they start responding to Western aggression in
kind, they will never be free. Until they become aware of their own greatness
and potential they will forever be weak and abused by the powerful West,
their culture ridiculed, their faith prostituted and their minds enslaved.
Until the Muslims develop the will and the power to defend themselves,
and when necessary, to respond to all aggression against them, they will
be trampled upon on the whims and fancies of the West. Let us recognize
that people can be as much anti-Muslim as Nazis were anti-Jewish. If the
latter is a reality of history, why cannot the former be? If we are courageous
and perceptive enough to recognize the motivations of the West, we will
be able to see through their words and their deeds. I propose that we should
add this new term, anti-Muslim, into the vocabulary of everyday world politics,
to be taken at par with terms like "anti-Western", "anti-Jewish", "anti-democracy"
and "anti-freedom". This term should connotate, as much as others do, an
irrational, deep-seeted and insidious hatred against people of Islamic
descent that leads to violent and oppressive policies and actions.
Beyond political double-speak, and echoes of the same old lies through
the decades, stand indisputable historical facts: The West has in the past
pillaged, plundered and exploited Muslim lands. It does so today, and sees
the prosperity of its future built upon the blood and bones of those it
mercilessly exploits. There is no way out of it. Each and every Muslim
child is born a slave, and will in due time, beget more. We may try to
rationalize our weaknesses by conjuring up lies that breed a meek acceptance
force-fed to us by the West, but before we do so, we should remember for
a second, that the reason why we are weak today is because yesterday, there
was someone who listened to those lies and was weak when it was a moment
to be strong, and through his inaction sold us into slavery to our current
Western masters. Is that what we want for our children tomorrow?
Muslims of the world, stop accepting the humiliation meted out to you
by your Western masters, stop rationalizing their aggression against you,
stop ridiculing your heritage, stop mindlessly repeating the words that
your masters teach you and instead become the masters of your own destiny.
Stop looking for help and assistance where you cannot get any and start
depending upon yourself. Stop the cowardice, the delusion and the undignified
grovelling at the feet of the West for a few left-over scraps from their
dinner tables, and instead develop the self-respect, dignity and strength
to make your own place in the world.
