Justa Simple Sad Poem

Sadness holds me tightly,

in a claustrophobic embrace,

not letting go, suffocating me,

I cannot see,

darkness all around me,

in the silence of despair.

Sometimes I hear her laughter,

from the endless distance

like a thousand sharp knives,

piercing my heart and soul,

her laughter taunts me.


Freedom - I know not what it means

happiness so alien to me,

smile, a gesture unknown,

despair the only emotion I feel.

So so dark around here,

nothing to see,

I crave to be set free,

free from my captors,

oh sadness why do you love me so?,

despair when would you let me go?,

depression - your friendship is not what I need,

Oh why don't you all just set me free??.
