Is religion above blame in the Iraq ’war’?
Those like me who d like to see the number of conflicts around the world go down, want to know the real impetus in these conflicts.
Nobody could treat a disease without knowing the diagnosis first, as any doctor will vouch for.
Is religion above suspicion in the ’war’ on Iraq? What are the other reasons?
-To link the Tigris to Israel - Iraqs links with Al Quaeda -To control Iraqs oil reserves -To avenge Bushs father - To free Iraq people ! ! !
Bush is a devout christian, as the whole world knows, and he has never said that he is not against Islam.
The Pope has spoken against war, but if you look back, the christian ideology, like any other religious ideology, has never been above double speak.( remember ’Therasas tumor trick’ or even the ’original belief’ about Marys virginity)
’Brain washing’ and ’indoctrination’ have been its forte’.
Even as you are reading this, millions of $$$ are pouring across the borders. Under the very nose of the "pro - Hindu" government. Not for Indians prosperity. But for the education, health and employment of christians. To give them the edge over their counter parts from other religions. And conversions of dalits - who are, it seems, closer to christianity than any other religion. (’Soft terrorism’?)
Is religion fully innocent, then? Look around the world ... Palestine, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq (I), Chechnya, Kashmir, Philippines, Indonesia, Nigeria....
The spin-doctors of the ’worlds greatest democracy’, have been rubbishing all this, of course. But the medias actions have never been in so much focus as it is now, as since the Gujarat massacres in March- April 2002.
"Christian hatred", " Christian fanaticism", "indoctrination" and "Islamophobia", are new terms for the uninitiated to familiarise themselves with and to understand.
So is religion above suspicion? I still am not sure. But if you look beyond the eye - wash...
