He sat motionless,
gazing fixedly
at the setting Sun
disappearing in slow,
painful steps
below the horizon.
The sustainer of life
looked tired and
broken in spirit.
Was it exhausted
by the long
journey of the day?
Was it ashamed
of walking
into oblivion?
Was it not comforted
by the thought of

and his meaningless
string of thoughts.

Someone shook him
out of
his thoughts.
Aditya was hungry,
and wanted to
go home.
He exerted his tired limbs,
and got up.
Aditya had already
sprinted to
the park gate,
in the direction
of the rising Sun.
There is a beginning
after the end!
He smiled with satisfaction,
and hurried his steps
to catch up
with the rising Sun.
Aditya means Sun in Sanskrit/Hindi.
