A short short-story
"Today we have no right to feel indignant. We have lost all credibility. We parrot what the religion tells us and do the exact opposite," Sardar said in his speech from the podium at the Arts Council. As he paused and surveyed the front row, he was
startled to find Seema in the audience. Quickly recovering he acknowledged her with a sly smile.
"Despite incantations we display utter contempt for the poor, for the downtrodden. We are good for empty rhetorics. We are morally bankrupt," he thundered.
The audience at the seminar so used to hear platitudes politely applauded.
Sardar smiled to himself. Comfortably settled in Defence with his wife and daughters, in spare time he harassed everyone at the website Intersection by posting inflammatory diatribes under various assumed male and female nicks.
He had a tryst with Seema earlier in the afternoon in his friend’s apartment, overlooking the sea.
