When I Die

put atop bed of memories

fasten with ropes of desire

shoulder the cherished dreams

consign to flames of pyre


allow the embers of angst

to sparkle, simmer, and dry

let the witness of follies

moan, weep, and cry


wait till greed is spent

permit the vanities to cool

lid the cravings of lifetime

lower in the Karmic pool
