"It will never happen, at least not in my lifetime. . ."
A lifetime, you say.
How long is that?
A few songs, your clothes left to dry,
Some apples, a sudden sunset,
The visiting flu, a poem or two,
And your set of lost keys,
To unlock the future.
The future?
Our inescapable
Through people, time, traffic lights,
Milestones, noise, love,
To name a few, my dear.
