Artists: NIKHIL BANERJEE sitar KANAI DUTTA tabla
Historically Important Archival Recording from Rotterdam, 1970:
Legendary Sitarist Nikhil Banerjee in a rare live performance of two afternoon ragas: 1. Raag Bhimpalasri and 2. Raag Multani.
The first raga presented is simply soul-stirring and heart-rendering
and moving. Perfect music with a slow, majestic, alap which builds up to an astonishing central piece and crescendo finale.
The second raga is also sweet to listen to but pales before the first one. A sheer joy!
