Tears of a Broken Heart

Umair Raja March 15, 2004

Tags: love

May you never be, in your lover’s arms
May he not desire, your bewitching charms
May the night of sorrow, knock, hard on your door
May it steal your enchantingly seductive lure

May you feel the pain, you gave to me
May pangs of guilt, never set you free
May the one you need, never come
to you
May throes of loneliness, be your destiny

May the setting sun and the summer breeze
May the singing birds in the shady trees
May the gentle waves of a sunny beach
May these, never be, within your reach

May you not forget, the days we spent
May they haunt your soul, again and again
May our past, torture you, at every turn
May it be a fire, in which you burn

May gods of beauty, never smile upon you
May they take away, your angelic hue
May your heavenly eyes, allure no more
May your blushing lips, forever, lose their glow

May your tears of anguish never end
May you never touch happiness again
May your wounds of woe, run long and deep
May you always cry yourself to sleep

May these words, I have said, never come true
May God, never let harm, come to you
May the one, who has taken you, away from me
May he be, for you, what I never could be

As we say good-bye for the final time
Can I make to you, this closing plea
If you ever see tears of a broken heart
Will you stop, and say a prayer for me
