Spell Undone

Gone are the days
Of you and I
The spell in undone
The magic died

Thoughts wayward
Like a dotted line
Fate indefinite
Yet treading on

He walks in
glowing brightly
On my foggy sky
Innocent and oblivious
Or so it seems

In his heart
Deep somewhere
linger recollections
Of what once had been

A resolve surfaces
To erase
The hopes and dreams
Of a not so distant past

And our lives entwine
His and mine
As a new spell is cast

once more begins a tale
Of searching eyes
And fluttering hearts
Of flickering flames
And a vague future

You and I
That recent past
fades
Languidly in the backdrop
Like an eternal song

A new stage is set
A fresh melody takes over
Another dream is born
I stop a time or two
And glimpse back at you

No , there is no hurt
Not even a sliver of pain
Instead , I find myself
Wistfully smiling

And then, I look up
At his gazing eyes
Brimming with warmth
And that lopsided smile


I am more than just convinced
As I melt altogether in his embrace
You and I
Were never meant to be
