An Evil’s Captive

The dark silhouette in my mind
Wandering in a murky ambience
Chasing me like a flash of light
Harassing every breath of mine

His voracious pursuit is on
He is persistent to get me
With no refusal he is following
Smashing everything coming in between

My heartbeat has paced
My legs have fatigued
Still I’m running
In search of shelter and keep

In this haunting surrounding
Where Terror is around me
A hope has kindles
That someone will protect me

Far where my eyes can reach
A bright light has shone
Blinded me for an instance
Has embraced me as whole

I open my eyes
And find myself on bed
Perspiring heavily, I just thank God
For showing me the path out of Devil’s slavery!
