Haroon
Lagan*1/2
After an impressive debut (2001’s Haroon Ke Awaz***), Haroon’s second release is a mess. It is cramped with air-headed boy-pop floss, which can only inspire second-hand N’Synch daydreaming. It falls flat across the stereo like an unintentional meek mono intruder. But perhaps his fair & lovely complexion and green/gray eyeballs are still more important to Pepsi than the man’s music?

Fakhir
Aatish**
At best Aatish is like Shola-era Awaz with Fakhir as lead singer. It’s doing good business, choked with fleeting pop hits that are however not the sort that can stand the tests of time. As far as Atish is concerned, big sales don’t necessarily account for good taste, y’know.
