Each day I feel you next to me
Even when you’re across the seas
Each night I see you in my dreams
Hoping that you will notice me
Each precious smile across your face
Makes my whole life a better place
Each simple glance into your eyes
Makes me so
Each time some pretty girl would break my heart
I’d bare my soul to you
Did you not see, it was an alibi
To spend more time with you?
They said our love was false; it would not last
No one gave us a chance
Two silly kids we were; all on our own
Out to change the world
Yet we have found that special place
Filled with joy and love and grace
My hand in yours, and yours in mine
I think we’ve passed our tests of time
Each day I want to hear you say
You’re still glad you took the chance
I don’t know why I feel this way
Tell me; is this what’s called romance?
So when we’re grey, with years behind
Sixty, seventy, or eighty-nine
Promise me; till that dying day
You will be my Valentine
