since last 200 years social reformers have tried to dismantle caste system and partially succeeded.caste system is not visible in indian cities. last 20 years there is reservation in all medical,technical and jobs for underpriviledged castes.Caste system signified social order and NOT exploitation,Persons at the top of caste system ie brahmins are the poorest lot and time has come to give them reservation on income basis

How come he left the horrible caste system out? Prevalent in Sen's native India, it's a an inhumane system that legitimizes exploitation and abuse of one group of human beings by another group, simply based on the accident of birth.
