I did get your question. you must know by now that tahir is strong about his views so he endorse them forcefully, me on the other hand,I am flexible, I listen, I cannot tell him or aruge with him to change his point of view, he is elder than me & he knows better. Everyone here speak their mind, this is the freedom of this space.
again, I have and will stay neutral when it comes to arguing about sects.

Brother...you have not answered by question about Tahir Sahab
Have you tried to instil your maturity into him. He badly needs some. You are way better than him in your thoughts. My only difference with you is your support for this bigot.

to me it's always about a person, not sect nor nationality, I respect the person regardless of what he does, that is his personal matter.

Dear BHS.
Kindly see Tahir Sahab's remarks after you posted Dr salam's picture. Now just ponder over it and then answer me this question:
Is this guy (tahir) worth any praise?
Look compared to the rest, you are more reasonable and i respect you for that. Just see his remarks and you will find as to why there is hatred against this bigot. Compared to tahirthegman and peon, i have refrained from getting abusive, but it seems that Mr Tahir deserves it.

not all countries of birth do the same
goodness. In addition to Blackburn, the other foreign-born Nobel winners over the past two days included:
Charles Kao, who was born in Shanghai, and has both U.K. and U.S. citizenship.
William Boyle, of Bell Laboratories, was born in Nova Scotia and holds duel U.S. and Canadian citizenship.
Jack Szostak, of Harvard Medical School, was born in London, grew up in Canada and is now a U.S. citizen.

nope ... I think I am sensible enough to decide stuff on my own, I regard abdus salam as a "genius" regardless of his association & I feel sorry for our laws which does not honor a person for his achievements just because he belongs to a sect. what sect has go to do with him getting a Nobel prize? how many around us has had this honor?

& the print reads ..
Dr. Salam's genius was recognized by the world except his own country where he was treated as pariah due to being an ahmadi. His ascendancy in the discipline of physics coincided with growing bigotry at home. This is why he was not given a state funeral and the pakistan state was shy of owning him. This was a tragic situation and speaks volumes about our attitude towards the scholarship.
but then we have always lost genius people ... or never found a way to treat them good ... that is not new.
