Further from FerozeK’s Gypsies
Remember seeing a program some ten years back on TV. It was showing the plight of gypsies under Nazi rule. They too were hunted down like jews and sent to concentration camps to be killed. I don’t remember the numbers, but sadly enough there is no nation to rue their fate in the hands of nazis.
Compare that to the attempt of making the holocaust only a jewish misery and to be reminded of it every day if possible.
Well, Anaath/Yateem are these gypsies. No one to even mourn for them.
The gypsies I saw on TV were speaking in a tongue, whose 30% words could be understood by us hindi speaking folks. No wonder they are from India. Reminds me of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’ ’Hundered years of solitude’ gypsy character Melquiadez, who wrote in Sanskrit.
