I sit in abject dread as I type this, fearful for my life.
The reason is hiding behined the monitor. It is a mix
between a grasshopper, a bee and a cockroach. I’ve
seen glimpses of it, as it bounced around on my desk,
over on my monitor and then flew menacingly, right up
to my nose and then back into the mess of wires be-
hined the computer. It is some kind of genetic experi-
ment, gone horribly wrong. Never seen anything like it.
I tried Bush’s premptive strike already. Gathering my
courage, I took off my chappal and tried to reach into
the wires to try and kill it, but it’s very clever, this
super-bug. It just jumped back and let me get all
tangled-up in the wires.
Look! there it is!, on the monitor pedestal...$#@! now it’s
gone. I dunno where it is. Hey! I see it now! it just went
under the table..oh, man...it’s all dark in there. I have
to type sitting a foot away from the desk now, paTa
nahi sala, kahieN sey bhee nikal aai.
*WHACK!*
I got you, SUCKA!!! . That’s what happens when you get
too full of yourself. It was strutting it’s stuff on top of the
desk, right under my nose!, jaisey kisi mealay meiN aaya
ho. Out came the chappal and splat! it’s history now. Just
a bunch of tangled legs and a f’ked-up torso. Chilli sey
panga...
I guess this is how the Americans must feel in Iraq...all
the time, not knowing where, when and how they are
going to get them. knowing this, I will
sleep better now.
PS: I did not mean any disrespect to the ’terrorists’
fighting the occupying forces in Iraq, by comparing
them with a bug. The moral of this little story is that
even a bug, can bug you, if it goes about it tactfully.
