Here are a few facts I’ve found out about Dua’as..I’d to share them
*Halal or lawful provision can be asked for.
*Impossible supplications should not be asked [to this many people would argue that GOD is capable of doing anything, why can’t he do this or that etc-these people, I advise, MUST use their heads or else it’ll rust!]
*Supplications of sin or cutting the ties of kinship mustn’t be asked.
*Supplications must be wit confidence in GOD, with full belief that what He’ll do is the best for us.
*Dua’as of the oppressed , the sick, and the travelling are accepted [because of what their going through].
* Dua’as of parents for their children are also accepted, even when parents curse their children. So, children and parents both need to be very careful. Kids shouldn’t trouble their parents to such an extent that the parent curses the child out of anger.
*One may supplicate lodly or softly, both are acceptable-but with good intention as intention is the basis of all actions.
*Good deeds elevate Dua’as. e.g. Zakaat, Hajat, Sadaqah etc.
*Praise GOD before supplicating e.g. Surah-al-Fatiha, Ayat-al-Kursi. And one may also end with ’Durood’ and praise.
*In Sajadah and in Rukooh, only Masnun Dua’as may be recited and not Qura’anic Dua’as.
*Dua’as are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days in a year!
*By giving us a problem to deal with, GOD actually gives us a chance to ask; so, instead of grieving over the matter one can view it in a rather optimistic manner.
*A really cool way to supplicate, is to supplictae [personal, Masnun, Qura’anic] and then supplicate again for them to be accepted. Cool haina?
*Sometimes we get exactly as we want, sometimes Dua’as change circumstances [happens a LOT to me!].
* Some Dua’as are transformed into good deeds for the day of Judgement. And man will say: I wish none of my Dua’as were answered, so that I could have them for good deeds.
*Dua’as are accepted on Laila-tul-Qadr; on Fridays-especially during khutba; before prayers start and in Sajadah.
*Time of acceptance:
GOD knows what’s best for us, and if one believes that then it’s easier to believe that He will grant us what we want at an appropriate time. He is also has knolwedge of the ’Ghaib’ and He love sus more than 70 mothers. Why He would want anything less than the best for us?
*When we supplicate for someone in their absence, the Angels supllicate for us.
*We must supplicate for ourselves [nothing wrong with that!]; but we must also ask others to supplicate for us [that in turn would be beneficial for them].
*During the middle of the last part of the night, and after Obligatory prayers Dua’as are most likely accepted.- Hadith [translation]
*Surah-al-Ibrahim, Verse 41:
"Our Lord!Forgive me and my parents, and [all] the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established." -translation
