Losing my way to the Chowk....

I was sitting in my office, going through another of those dry boring days. Our local ISP announced some problems with the internet connections which meant some sites would not be accessible. I could not log in to my msn messenger, nor check my hotmail messages and add to that some other sites I have in my favorites’ folder. So what do you do at such times? Yes, google your way out of misery. So I search google for something to read in Urdu, and after failing to access a couple of result sites, I landed in the Chowk.

I was attracted by the slender layout so I decided to look around. Among the first few things I saw here was the name of Farzana Versey. Now Farzana happens to be the name of my beloved wife, but that was not the only reason to make my brain go "hmmm". I’ve read some of her articles in the Daily Times and I think the lady can talk. Although I’d not agree with her on many things but atleast you have to appreciate the literary spirit. So I applied to be a member and thanked God that the membership procedure wasnt too complicated or I usually back out halfway.

I might write something, I think I can write, or I might find myself in my usual lazy attire and never get myself to write, but I think I’ll have a good time reading what others have to say.

The lack of images on the site is a bit disturbing. I expect the net to give me more reasons to be clicking my new digital camera (yes, its fresh and I still yearn to use it like a kid with a new toy).

So, people of the chowk (I dont want to use chowkers, it’d be so depressing for myself to think I am among a group of chokers) have a good time while I am here.
