There is nothing good happening in life. In fact there is nothing happening at all. Everywhere you look, you get the same gloomy emptiness staring at you. The days have taken in to such a montonous routine that if an alien were to observe us earthlings, sitting back in his sapceship, he’d most probably think we are some sort of programmed robots. We are slowly turning into emotionless robots anyway: the types that have no feelings for anyone else and who wish to go through the process of life as if forced to live it.
Every day you get up at the same time thanks to the alarm clock. I haven’t yet come across a sound more annoying than the alarm clock going off in the morning. Its the same ritual of taking the shower, getting in to that formal dress for the office (as if it would make a difference if you went to work in your pyjamas), the same fueling up with the breakfast (which seems like a dying tradition as our laziness takes more hold on us) and then the drive to the office through that same jammed traffic network. I still don’t have kids that go to school, so you can spare me that part of the trip.
What do you do at the office? I am sure many people actually do something that makes the world better (from their perspective anyway) but for most of us, its again the same predetermined path leading to the golden moment when we take off. The time when we take our coffee, when we take our prayer breaks (for those of us who are actually bothered to pray), the time when we sneak towards the phone to call friends/family, even the time when we pay a visit to the loo is all pre-determined. I read in some philosophical theory (yes, I even read that stuff) that time is just a set of events that moves on. If we dont wish to complicate matters and keep God as the author of those events, we can easily say that by the time He reached our part, He made more use of the copy/paste options: define one day, and then just execute the command in a command prompt window "copy day_1 all_days". And that is how our life was destined.
And if you wish to shrugg off such thoughts and spend some time on the CHOWK, your profile states you as an inter-actor!
Thankyou for reminding me once again that I am just an actor performin my part read off a written script.
