America: Richest On Paper, Poorest at Heart.

On a similar note, through this crises, we have learned more about
each other, as a people. Who we are and what we stand for.

While 2/3 of the 150,000 victims are in Aceh, Indonesia (Muslims)
the places that are getting news coverage and much of the aid are
Thailand and Sri Lanka --where europeans spend their vacations,
shoot their movies and get laid.

We have learned that when it comes to people living outside the US,
the lone super power is generous with cruise missiles and Daisy
Cutters, but the stingiest with the dollar. The US has so far pledged
$350 million, compared with nearly 1 billion contributed by, guess
who ?, Australia. Even cash-starved Germany and Japan have contri-
buted more ($674 million and $500 million respectively).

Even individual Americans suck. The richest man Bill Gates has
pledged a measely $3 million. Steven Spielberg, richest jew in HW
could only afford $1.5 million from the billions that his movies
have raked-in over the years from Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
Compared to these skin flints, the Formula One race-car driver from
Germany, Michael Schumacher alone, has given $10 million dollars.

The thing that surprised me and warmed my heart, was to learn of the
