Birthday

Posted: May 9, 2005 Mon 08:44 pm     Views: 68

Today I am 47 plus years old, I can say that I am in the prime of my life. (Only because 47 is prime.) What have I learnt so far?
1. That all the education in the world cannot get you back into the car which you have locked yourself out of.
2. Human beings have an incredible capacity for cruelty and kindness.
3. When you are stressed you will lose the best parking spot.
4. With all the noise in the world it is amazing that we still get to communicate with each other.
5. We have the technology to put a satellite behind mars and communicate with it. But we do not have the technology to communicate with those that are closest to us.
6. I can memorize tons of information without understanding a damn word. ( This allows me to feel superior to many people)
7. Moral superiority comes from a deep lack of understanding of what is wrong and right.
8. When I grow older someday, I want to relax and watch golf.
9. I have spent a third of this life sleeping, the second third in a waking sleep, and the third third in dreaming sleep. Now I am looking for the fourth third.
10. If there was a time that I did not exist, then why should I fear a time in the future when I will no longer be?
11. If we are traveling through space and time at 40,000 miles per hour, then all it would take is a small minute stationary dust particle to kill us.
12. Money can make the smartest man do follish things.
