We all know how supposedly 5% fundamentalists are able to project so much power over the other 95% in Pakistan. This is from a Modern, democratic, liberal, progressive, and may I say moneyed Pakistani muslim. ( Yes, you’re from majority community, dont forget that.)

Why hasnt it come about with such overwhelming muslim majority state and a minority which are meek and largely irrelevant? What’s a cabinet mission plan tell me when your leaders desecrating the constitution itself? What’s Pakistani history post independence, pre and post 1971? Today even Bangladesh is more political and democratic than Pakistan.

India is a big country and there are lots of historical accounts by better and lesser historians. Many foreigners have written their own versions. Westernised leaders of that period have had very well documented lives and second-hand bookstores are full of their letters, speeches and biographies. Though they are nice to read, it makes little sense to argue about who did what and why and what-if. Imagine our peoples discussing Agra summit some 100 yrs from now while Mushy, Advani, shushma swaraj and Vajpayee all have forgotten about it.
