The ’Colonial Apologists’ on Chowk

Today as many Iraqis were blown up as were in London. Guess how many
threads were opened on Unplugged by the Colonial Apologists. You are
right, none. As in, nada, zip, zero, zilch.

On british Sky News, after 20 minutes of reporting (wailing) on the london
blasts, this is how they reported the Iraqi deaths, "In Iraq today, 44 people
were reported killed as a suicide bomber rammed into a crowd outside an
army recruiting center...and in Britain, Parliament passed a new energy...".

This is the bhao of 44 Iraqi lives. One mealymouthed sentence. The truth
is, the allies have never even bothered to count the number of civilians
they have killed in Iraq & Afghanistan. Afterall, they are answerable to
no one.

When I listen to the colonial apologists on Chowk, wailing ad nauseum
about the deaths of a handful of Brits, I pray to Allah to give them the
taufeeq to feel the same outrage, sympathy and kinship with the Iraqi
mothers, sisters and daughters....since they suffer daily what Londoners
have felt once, in 60 years.

As the allies have started Operation Scimitar on Fallujah once again (they
have officially killed only 11 thus far), I hope that Al Qaida, or whoever,
will bring the same mayhem and bloodshed to the allied capitals which
the Brits and the Yanks have thrust wholesale upon the Iraqis/Afghans.

Just so you know that this is not a typical unfeeling desi attitude, let me
share with you what Larry Eagleburger, the Bush Asst. Secy of State said
about the Bosnians and Serbs locked into a war, on NBC:

"No, we don’t have any business going in there and stopping one
killing the other. There is a lot of hatred among these two and we
should let them fight. When they are sick of killing each other, then
the US can go and broker a peace".

Just a reminder. The Christian Serbian army, who got to keep all the
Yugoslavian armour, was raping and massacring Muslim Bosnian
civilians in the hundreds of thousands in that war and we all watched
it in color, every night, on our TV sets.

Nobody will cry for you, Iraq. Atleast nobody here in the west. You’re
on your own buddy.
