For the past few days, mulla Nassrudin had been repeatedly trying to sell his cow in the market, without any success .A week later, a man who dealt with lives stock asked mullah why the cow was not sell. Mullah told him desperately nothing has worked out.
‘Worry not” said the man ‘come with me and I shall told you how to do things.”
At the market place, man start to praise heifer to the skies before prospective buyers: ’I know the mother of this heifer. she is sweet, timid cow who gives lot of creamy milk, pure white milk. The heifer will surely be like her mother, very gentle, very good. The heifer has been pregnant for six months…’
Within minutes heifer was sold! Mullah was impressed with man’s skill and memorized his words and technique. Mullah has unmarried daughter and could not find suitable match for her.
One day , a family come to visit his home for proposal of his daughter .as soon as they take their seats, mullah started to praise his daughter. ’My daughter is indeed very good, timid like her mother , she gives creamy milk, pure white milk and she has been pregnant for six months!
Within seconds all suitors had taken off like rockets on hearing this! Mullah’s wife was livid;’ why on earth did you have to say such stupid things to the suitors”! “if you don’t sing the praises of a heifer, you will never be able to sell her and the same principle holds true for daughters! ”mullah retorted with all his seriousness.
