Saba is a great fan of Amma. She sleeps in her room and both share their views with each other. Saba narrate to her all happening and venture in her school. Amma is always very anxious.
Amma told her all about pahrani batein when commodities were very cheap especially eatable. when meat was 2Rs seer and etc. But saba never believe it. She always says ‘sutch’.
One day saba told Amma that her friends believe in love marriage.such words at a tander age made Amma anxious

Amma did Matric before partition. after Matric she did teaching training and posted far-flung area of srinagar where only means of transportation was horseback.
So the sweet sixteen jalpari was going on horseback ,when bari Abba saw her and crush on her. He too was newly appointed there .He collected all information about her but irony was that ,he was already engaged with her cousin. Moreover Amma was from Syed family and Aba non-syed.
So as you know how zalam samahg always block the way. some how Aba managed to convince his family. Amma’s brothers also agreed after long a tussle. Waisa ,I wonder how liberal and sensible they were at that time.
