Damn Unlucky

The man remarked,"it is said that a woman if she has a good fate brings ,"Lakshmi" into the life of the man she marries.

"To rephrase it", he said, "the rationale behind the idea is that a man earns for his family.So when he earns, the monetary aspect is all for the wife, and all that she inevitably had to receive as per her fate’s share.Just like from an islamic point of view, when a child is born,he brings his own food and supplies for him as is meant for him to receive in life per his qismat."

"But then this does not mean that one has fifteen kids like illiterates!". he countered.

Anyways, if it’s luck that a woman brings, i have been nothing but unlucky today. I missed my first lecture as i over slept.I was infact woken by the sound of someone screaming on the road.Living in a quite neighbourhood, this was certainly a surprise.I jumped out of bed and pulled he curtains away from the window, expecting two spouses fighting and abusing each other.( sigh!my typical Pakistani mentality!"But what i discovered was totally different.

Two men were in the process of snatching the bike of a young woman who lives in my neighbourhood.She was putting up a fight.But both of them got on the cycle and peddaled away.She was so upset and angry.She followed the bike till the end of the street, screaming at the top of our lungs, "Stop!It’s mine!"

"I say stop!"


***shudder***

I felt so sorry and upset for her.i hope she manged to catch them.She is quite athletic.Oh! I so hope, some one came to her rescue.:(

I have not been feeling well since three days now.arrhh..Tonsilitus.Ammi used to tell me that with age, this problem will vanish.But it still hasn’t.Aaarrrggghh!


if things couldnt get worse, the fire alarm went off simply because the garlic bread in the oven got slightly overheated.It didn’t even get burnt and still the fire alarm went off.I have cooked with more smoke in the kitchen before and today for no apparent reason , my ears have to undergo meaningless trauma.

And to top off my unluckiness, i switched on the bulb in the doorway and Pooof! The whole house was engulfed in darkness.

"Drat!", "I just got the energy saver three days back and it fused",i complained to my housemates.

Once i had meddled with the switchboard and the electricity came on, i discovered, that the energy saver is working in perfect condition.Then why did the electiricity process suddenly tripped before.:(
