All day…. the last day,
Unexpected of what truth,
You knew.
Travel back in time to the words
I promised,
as we hung on to our phones.

At home sobbing like I never before,
At the air port waiting till the last call to leave.
Leave …. Yes, but wondering what you left behind.

You left me behind…. But unwilling standing your ground.
Unwilling to allow you to step on my ground,
For my ground was shakin by the truth
Stripping me of my dignity,
Dignity that kept my strength up.

Strength not of pain nor hurt of love, did I lose
For I had lost that long before. Promises kept in love,
Broken out of not deceit, or loss of love, but of the truth.

Truth of who you are,
So never say never …. That you can not take just step
When you have run a mile
Swam the ocean
Walked to the end of the world
Yet to find out that it is never ending fairy tale.

So never say never…. Don’t ever stop
Mine you stumbled in, unaware
Precaution lit all the time…
Until I kept that promise,
The promise to return my words to yours
My luck you gave out like free diamonds

But only the ending I started with, the beginning …. Is where we ended up
Up some where half the time blind, but knowing that we can see.
