maira amreeka mai ab dil nahi lugta...

but my friends have told me, that one load shedding for 6 hrs or so, back home ,and I would be longing to be back here.
but to tell you the truth...I have started to feel lonely here. Despite the fact that I have friends and family around, it still feels lonesome. There is nobody you can depend upon , if you are sick...or somebody you love needs you. You still have to go to work. or take time off and then payback. There are no neighbours here like Pakistan , who are not just people you wave hi to while getting in and out of your car , half the time you are wondering....abay is kaa naam kia thaa ? Peter or James ?....I am talking about neighbours whom you can count on. They will be there for anything and everything. To share your happiness sorrow grief gossiping ....you name it. You dont have to really worry about anyone being home alone. Nobody is really home alone there.
You have cousins grandparents aunts uncles .family friends you know for years. If you are at the airport , 20 people will come to pick you up. Here , probably one if you get there on a weekend , they are not working or you should be given all the information on shuttles.
As I am getting older over here , mujhay apna burhapa tareek nuzur aa reha hai...
We will all end up in nursing homes here , I am telling you ....

kuch socho .....
I have thought of making totally Pakistani communites here , just like china town , where we all can live close together and take care of each other , where ammas can exchange numuk and timaturs, guys can stand outside on the streets late night sootay lugatay huay , where children can play kunchay or chupun chupai outside ....where golay gunday subzi moong phalee walay walk around doing business...where girls can show each other their shopping and sale items.....

maira amreeka mai bus ab dil nahi lugta but I know I cant stand the heat with load shedding either....generator kub tuk chulay gaa...specially with the price of gas these days....
