Empty boasts. False pride. Conversations with generous peppering of accomplishments - some real, many imagined, but all exaggerated. All tried to come across as what they wish they were, not how they actually were. In their boasts, their failures laid bare. In their claims, their shallowness laid exposed. Lies. All lies.
And amidst this all, she sat there, a picture of utter allure....like a trophy slated for the winner.
