I attended the Revival of the Islamic Spirirt convention at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre this weekend. My favourite speaker was definitely Hamza Yusuf, with his simple approach and a dab of humour here and there. Note to self: Rabbi was good though a little complicated; enjoyed Quick’s ’7 challenges facing muslims’, Robert Frisk was good, Zaid Shakir was highly charged at times, loved Hamza Yusuf’s analogy of an ill-reputed corporation trying to improve its image in the market for explaining people’s distorted perception of Islam.

Other than that: I return to GO trains from January 8th. Commute to Queen’s Park is going to be a breeze compared to my commute to IBM each day. I trimmed my bangs and haven’t done any further crazy shit. Oh, and I managed not to fail Nguyen’s crazy micro!
