Suspended Chief Justice Of Pakistan

He has mainly been targetted by the Chaudhry bradaraan’s of Punjab for:

1: banning kite flying in lahore,this order was thn ratified by Gen.Musharraf and granted two days of kite flying.

2. For ordering the Re-selling of Karachi Steel Mills Corporation, as the previous bidding made by the Government to a Pvt sector was unprofitable.

The actions has been taken when the second senior most judge Justice Bhagwaandas is out of the country- who is supposed to come back on 24th of this march and he ’may’ further extend his vacations.

The suspended Chief Justice Of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. is a highly respected personality both in and outside the courts. For the past 12 months he has taken many Suo-Moto actions across the country.among many, the one which I remember was a case in which the University Of Peshawar was not granting admission to a student who did’nt pay the initial dues needed for admission because he could not afford to do so, this was brought to the notice of the CJ who took immediate action and got him the admission & ofcourse many more- He has been suspended by the Chief Judicial Council under Article 209 of the Constitution of Pakistan. The action taken by CJC on the orders of Gen.Musharraf was initiated by a reference letter sent to CJ Iftikhar Ch by a famous lawyer Naeem Bukhari (ex husband of Tahira sayed :P ) in which he blamed CJ for "Misusing" his powers - among many he blamed him for using a helicopter, and termed many his decisions as being "Illegal". He has also been blamed that his son who got 16 marks in an english paper was elevated to some job -

I am not in favour of anyone, I was just thinking that if Corps Commandars of pakistan can use helicopters , why can’t our CJ? I mean he is the CJ of Pakistan afterall, whats wrong if he is using one? - Mr Naeem Bukhari is forgetting that if he has taken the responsibility of taking actions against illegalities , he must first file a reference case against Gen. Musharraf as he isn’t using his powers legally.
