You are right ... India is very much a Hindu country in the same sense that US is a Christian country.... Dominant cultural groups keep nations together. Truth be told, without having a Hindu majority in every state except Kashmir, India would not have been a successful democracy...
A Hindu homeland or a Hindu country doesnot necessarily mean Ram Rajya and Hindu theocracy nor does it infringe upon India’s status as a Secular state.... nor does it mean that the minorities in India should not be as Indian as anyone else... but simply the recognition of the dominant cultural group... the line is drawn when minorities are forced to recognise this already established fact...
