Wehshi ko sakoon seh kya matlab
Jogi ka nagar meh thikana kya
Desi Nostradamus was Ustaad Amanat Ali Khan from the Patiala Gharana. I recently heard an oldie "Insha ji uttho". Last time I heard this song was in 1982 and I was 15 yrs old. The song had a different meaning then than it had now. Now at the age of 40, listening to his voice and the beautiful words had a different meaning.
The words that captivated me (hence the title) were
Wehshi ko sakoon seh kya matlab
jogi ka nagar meh thiknana kya
Wehshi in this case obviously without a doubt and without further ado are the talibans, and they dont know jack about peace. Talibans talk about peace and the peaceful religion, while going after little innocent 8 yr old girls and killing them, some moron on the front page is trying to leagalize child marriages (pathetic).
Ustaad Amanat Ali Khan probably saw this in the future to say it with such eloquence, and to top it off his son asad amanat ali also hints at the so called peace that taliban tries to bring.
His son while singing the same song added
Uss Husan keh sachi moti ko
Jab deykh sakain par choo na sakain
vo daulat kya vo khazana kya
Here again there is a hint at taliban and their attrocities. I wish one day all talibs will understand that shedding blood is not a good way of spreading peace nor is winning hearts and minds with guns and bullets.
