maybe a parrot..

Had this Ice Desert dream. Was perfect. Had the war of the evolved species going on midst the ice storm. Was exactly like the closing chapter of the unwritten book was supposed to be.

I woke up and reached for the notebook that was lying to my left, slid up and leaned back and started to type before I forgot the details. Chapter Last. Paragraph one, two, three till fifteen. Came easily.

But hey, whatever. Not like the book's going anywhere.

Watched Blades of Glory last night while sipping on a venti latte. Funny movie. Though, I did keep feeling this urge to switch it off and go read a book instead. Couldn't do that - had three other people over who were watching the movie too. Would've been kind of weird if I'd just said, "You guys keep watching..I think I'm just going to go read a book in my room." So. I sat it out. Laughed a little too. But just wasn't in the mood. Had a million things on my mind. Head was heavy.

Decided that it is time for that semi-vacation. So, Monday I'll put that decision into motion and do the required paperwork and get things moving in that direction. Hopefully, this time round the guy in the neighboring flat will still let me use his wireless while I'm there.. Otherwise, will just have to stick to the lame Wannadoo type of dialup - which sucks. Oh. Wannadoo is now Orange. I like Orange. Yet, I go with Vodafone every time. Hrmm.

Yeah. So. Semi-vacation. It's semi because I still work from there. I'm sick. I can't not stay in touch with work. It's good actually. Wake up early, log in and work work and work and then head out by the time it's lunch here. Then, the remaining day is handled through the great world of international texting. And then I re-cap at the end of my day there. Not too bad. That's the only sort of vacation I can handle. The totally-cut-off-from-work one I haven't taken in the longest time and I think, now I've forgotten how to do that.

Maybe the semi-vacation will help.

I am, consciously, ignoring the monetary situation. Screw it. Money will happen once the plans are in place. Not going to bother figuring that out till I have to run out and buy some of that foreign currency.

Saw this pet store the other day.. From outside, all I could see was all sorts of parrots. I want a parrot. The white one with a yellow crown. But then, I feel like crap thinking about caging it. Tch. So I won't cage it? Yeah, but then my house would be one big ass cage for it then won't it? Tch. But that would still be better than the tiny ass cage it currently has? Yeah. But then, if I buy one then I'm supporting this whole industry of bringing in these birds.. TCH.

That's how that argument goes in my head. And so, I never land up getting that damn parrot. Maybe I'll venture into the store sometime and maybe some parrot will urm..talk to me? Like maybe Parrot and I will click. We will exchange a silent, key sentence, in this blinding instant, that yes - I want you in my house and I want to be in your house. Possible you know. These things happen. Happened once with this budgie I had. We clicked. He'd sleep on the bed with me. On his back. I'm not kidding. He was seriously twisted. I've never seen a bird that sleeps on a bed on its back. He did. He even ate yoghurt and drank tea (sweetened) and had toast with butter and jam.

Of course, he's long dead now.

So yeah, maybe I'll actually go IN that pet store one of these days. And maybe this time round, I'll give the parrot a more creative name and not Parrot. Yeah, I know, pathetic huh?

Slow day. But that's expected on an off Saturday. Empty office with the radio on loud. Crap music on this station. Think I should switch to another one. Ooh. Some Gomez is on! Not switching stations now.

Right then, I'd better get back to writing that article that I need to send in today. Read some. Found some really ridiculous statistics. Now I'm trying to figure out how to make it "light and funny" as the editor instructed. Weird ass request considering the article is on a really morbid topic. Twisted editor woman... Oh well. Off I shall go now, to sit around and wait for the inspiration to strike...

Sweet budgie! He had such a princely life:)
I had a chick pet when I was a kid. He had those crooked claws and for that I took liking for him. But… he could live only for two months. I also buried him in the backyard :( and after that I never tried to pet anything.

Age happened to budgie. He died when he was a little over 8. We wrapped him up in his little blanket (yeah he had one) and buried him in the garden. Happy life with rich food I think he led. He was really friendly with the cat too (who died when she was 18!).

Hahahaha..parrot will NOT learn the "kickass" word! Hahahaha..just imaginging that.. Someone walks into the house and it says, "Hey! Kickass!!" Hahahahaha.

what happened to that budgie? Parrots are good pets especially the white one with a yellow crown. It picks words and sentences too easily and believe me if you have one he would never stop saying... augustine.... augustine... chowk... chowk... kickass... kickass. Yes, since parrots can't differenciate between slang and clean language so never use curse words in front of him :)
