The Costs of Inactions
This a follow-up to my previous ilog.
There was a very good editorial in Dawn this morning, which stated what I had said in my previous ilog. Terrorism cannot be appeased and it has to be crushed before it is able to consolidate itself. Had the government not caved in to the demands of the mullahs of Swat and itself weakened its writ, it would not be in this position today.
Once the writ of state has been lost and it can only be regained by force and that means the unavoidable loss of lives.
