Remain I will awake, to honor
The old promise and bet
As I grew old with the years
Of dust and of time in place
Says the Spanish face and its fury
Through conversations and stories
Of old heaven, of unheard landscape
Of numerous attempts, to encage
This journey of mind, and of time
Viewed from pillars and verandas
As the past and its antiquity
Arrive with its characters,
With arrival of light and syringe
Strikes in the slumber and effect
As the day grows old in distance
Remain I will awake, to honor
