Going down with Mushy's ship

{"When push comes to shove urdu-speakers will have no one except themselves to rely on, and only two available choices; either to surrender en-masse in the fashion of the glorious 93,000, or fight and die with dignity."}

Viqar Bhai,
I can understand and appreciate your pain and sentiments. Please do not throw out the baby with the bathwater. The baby we all LOVE is our precious Pakistan. Please don't become like me when I let the hateful words of some Sons of the Soil affect my perception of Pakistan. The alternative is to fight it out among ourselves, destroy the lifeboat we all are surviving in, and let the Injuns enjoy the horror show.

Fighting for equal rights and proper representation is noble. Frying some innocent lawyers in their offices is criminal, grotesque, and inhuman. The bastards who did this, and by all accounts the finger is pointing at MQM, need to be brought to swift and complete justice so they can get their just reward rapidly in the hereafter.

I had advised Mohajirs to avoid the temptation of getting involved in the upcoming civil war. It appears that in addition to ignoring my sincere advice, these MQM gangsters want to start one. I have to be honest and say that Mr. Asif Ali Zardari is behaving almost 100% like a statesman - especially when compared to NS, Altaf, and that scoundrel of a President, who appears as bloody out of uniform as he was in uniform.

Right now is the time to celebrate the reclamation of our long-lost democracy. The people of Pakistan have clearly, and despite all the rigging and nasty tricks of Mushy, voted against him, his regime, and his agenda. For Mohajirs to be associated en masse with this rogue "leader," is a very unpatriotic and foolish thing. This popular uprising against Mushy is nothing less than the French Revolution of the late 18th century - Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite or, in our own words, Faith, Unity, Discipline. Don't despair, Pakistan is already saved - some endings tend to be messy. The hell with MQM.

Zee,
While the foucs is on death, murder, arson, and mayhem in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, what happened to the chopping of hands of Hindu Biharis and the fascist behavior of Bal Thackeray and his gang of ghoondas known collectively as the BJP/RSS/VHP/BD/JS/SS/SP/MNS hate-mongrel? Too bad we have to keep acting like rams in rut while the wolves are tearing apart other prey. 8-|

{"Do you think it is an unfair one?"}

Zee,
In this case, YES. The Urdu Speakers who migrated to East Pakistan were going to "Pakistan" not "Bangladesh." They were forced to leave their homes in India - there were horrible massacres of Muslims in Hindu Bihar. The razakars in East Pakistan were fighting to keep their adopted home within Pakistan - they were helping the national Paki army. If murders, rapes, and torture took place there, then all parties were guilty - Pak Army, Mukti Bahini, and Razakars. Only the Razakars were subjected to horrific punishments. The 93,000 "cowards" surrendered and were well-treated by the conquering Indians - partly because Ghazi Gen. Arora and his mostly Sikh soldiers had some compassion for the mostly Punjabi POWs. The truth hurts sometimes - and just as I am able to condemn the murderous ghoondas called the MQM, you should have the decency to not see black/white when the scenery is mostly grey.

{"Put your hand on your heart, bibi, and tell me earnestly that they would have just as easily abandoned 250,000 Punjabis to rot in refugee camps."}

Viqar Bhai,
I don't think that I need to prove my credentials in supporting the right of these "stranded" Pakis (or as some bigoted and hateful persons lump them all as "Biharis")to come home. While expressing this viewpoint on Chowk, I have been called "Bihari," and worse, e.g. "Indian" - even by some so-called "Urdu speakers." Some of these same angry people were quite comfortable in accepting insidious and vulgar profanity against our Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his family that was uttered by a foul-mouthed Injun.

The sad truth, and some Sons of the Soil have successfully used this argument against me, is that what did the MQM and/or Mushy do in the last 8 years of their unchallenged administration? If Mushy had the balls to massacre Baluchis in Baluchistan, kill Punjabi female students in Islamabad, and bomb Pathan tribesman in FATA, why didn't he have the heart to repatriate some of these unfortunate Pakistanis?

The only answer I have is that Mushy and/or MQM are not interested in the welfare of Pakistanis, Muslims, Urdu speakers, let alone some poor suffering "Biharis." The sooner we return to the main path of our Pakistani brethren and cistern the better off we all will be. Let Altaf open a fish 'n chips or pan shop in London.
