Sprinkled the essence on my battlefield

Flashes of red spilt into black
Shreds of skin mashed into bone

Covered in sweat, scratching my nails down your back.

Bleeding fingers on broken hands
Torn limbs on crushed bodies
Snakes that swim into my veins
And peaks that swirl around in ecstasy.

And you walk away.
Easily. Quietly. Lithely.

And you speak of unions.
Piously. Fervently. Reverently.
