We don't have to go as far back as the Crusades, Inquisition, "Discovery of the New World," colonialism, pogroms in Russia, and the Holocaust during WWII. Ranjit, please see my response above. But for a reminder about "other faiths," you may want to consider BJP/RSS/VHP/BD/SDS/SP/JS/MNS hate-mongrels killing Muslims in Gujrat and Bombay. Also, the mass killings of Sikhs in 1984 was nothing less than a huge blood stain on "India Shining." Mass killing was elevated to an assembly line operation by Christian Germans in disposing of six million Jews. "Atheist" Russian communists, who are now considered Orthodox Christians, purged the Soviet Union of tens of millions of undesirables (many belonging to other faiths, including Islam). You may have seen the old movie "Gandhi," with the horrible depiction of killing people, especially in India, merely because they were Muslims. Of course there was killing of Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan - but nowhere near the one in India in scale or brutality. Of course the killing of innocent Muslim villagers of Deir Yassin in Palestine by the Stern Gang was also motivated by religious fanatics killing "people for no reason other than the fact that they follow a different religion."

Ranjit, I understand that at least some of the people killed and injured in Jaipur were Muslims. Also, most of the people killed in Jammu & Kashmir by the Indian military were Muslims. The blasts in Sri Lanka, blamed on the mostly Hindu Tamil Tigers of the LTTE, target Buddhist and Muslim Sri Lankans. The mass killing of Bangladeshi migrants in Assam, where the corpses were lined up in neat rows, was the work on Hindus. The mass killing of Sikhs in Delhi, where truckloads of dead Sikhs, with their ripped bloody hair visible and dangling, were hastily used to suppress the casualty count. Give me a break. A right-wing Hindu complaining about violent religious fanatics of other faiths is the zenith of hypocrisy or the nadir of logic.

Ranjit, try enforcing some of your own Indian laws to put behind bars the chief executives of states who have perpetrated genocide. These monsters have used state resources to selectively harm, loot, murder, rape, mutilate, and burn Muslims, and then had the audacity to videotape their dastardly deeds. Try some self-policing to curb the activities of your hate-mongrels in the BJP/RSS/VHP/BD/SP/SS/JS/MNS groups of violent Hindu fanatics who are far more hideous and brutal than the worst terrorists.
