Blast near Danish Embassy in Islamabad

Posted: Jun 2, 2008 Mon 03:02 am     Views: 228    Interacts: 3

The abhorrent act of publishing those insulting caricatures by some of the Danish citizens was extremely disgusting to say the least. Understandably so, it triggered a universal reaction all across the Muslim world. Large-scale demonstrations were staged and efforts were underway to pave way for the complete boycott of Danish commodities, products and goods; and that does make a lot of sense.

But how can we justify the killings of 8 people in a blast outside Danish embassy Islamabad today? Is there an explanation?

Having said that, we cannot blame anyone until the detailed investigations are carried out or any political or religious group claims the responsibility. Reportedly the explosive went off in a car outside the embassy and there is only one foreign casualty (death) confirmed so far. Thus bulk of the known casualties (8 dead, 7 injured) comprise locals of the area. Taking this into account, who should be blamed for the incident and what can be their objectives or hidden agendas? Any thoughts?

The fair and logical investigations are hard to come by.

Who is going to gain the most out of this incident ? What can be the possible objectives ?

in agreement with aadi,
I doubt it that there will be any investigation carried out as there are far too many already in the queue....karachi ones, charsuda, peshawar, lahore, rawalpindin, benazir and god knows how many.......

Let's wait for the report of the investigations, if one is carried out. Untill then we shouldn't point fingers at some particular group or people having a particular way of life. But at the same time we should keep in mind a possible hand of the 'forces outside' who could manipulate the situation knowing the possible reactions about the incident.
