I wish!

Posted: Jun 5, 2008 Thu 08:34 pm     Views: 283    Interacts: 10

I wish I had
a wider area
inside my chest, where
all my contrasting thoughts,
young and matured,
shy and assured
and fair and dark,
could peacefully coexist,
without encroaching upon,
each others territory.

The heart's too tiny a place
not to suffocate
when they are intermingled.

I wish there were
more breathing spaces.

Thanx quin for drawing such a similarity ... it was a multitude of thoughts that stimulated me to write the poem ...

This is coincidental that I am just reading an article by Erwin Schroedinger, a great physicist, expressing similar idea in his concept of paradox of arithmetic - "there appears to be a great multitude of conscious egos, the world, however is only ONE."
Your poem is wonderful ... great multitude - seeking the ONE
