a gnawing thought

mns in my city out to target people who dont hit back.

singur succumbing to development of the richest. at the cost of indigenious people.

orrisa witnessing murder, once again the violence piggybacks onto religion and spreads...

koshi changes her route and now has hundreds of dead bodies floating in her waters. epidemics are spreading, children, pregnant women, old people..at mercy of the man-made calamity.

meanwhile, the prime minister busily declares it a national calamity and announces compensation.

and even as i go through this, sitting at my desktop comfortably, with a hot cup of tea, a fan to cool me off and a home to go back to... shaffi comes online to speak on the lines of :everybody loves a good drought..

am dismayed.

there is no direction to my thought. i need to start from scratch. need to build on my political understanding. a dialogue on rights without a political awareness is half-armoured..

my blood boils when i see my young people being manipulated by these political agendas. young minds being poisoned, being channelized towards hatred. its all there in the newspapers for everyone to see...

take a look at the pictures.. who do you see? youth - mostly male. or men.

is there an end to this? i shudder when one of my kids says, "mera gaane ka program tha, party waalon ko mera gaana accha laga aur mujhe 500 rs inaam diya..."

they are coming, the jackals. and they are all over the placce.

am i to just sit and watch...?
