understood - it all comes from an empathic heart.
Historically, the people has been so much betrayed in one or other way, and by now they are mired in such a mess, that there seems to be so few choices left for them to make - that is what I meant on kashkin's ilog.
I just don't see on a collective level, how we, are for that matter any of these countries bogged down in this mess can make any other choice.
These phenomenon's cannot be just explained by focusing on one aspect of the issue - religion for example. There are many more powerful factors - imperial powers and their designs for example, feudal structure of the society as an other example. Religion is being used by vested interests of various sorts because of abject poverty and illiteracy in various shapes and forms. It is a big and complex issue or topic Ravi, you know, and it cannot be comprehended in its entirety - but we can capture or see the glimpses.
We need new intellectual as well as political and religious leaders - may be they will emerge from the ruins of our ill fated country. Pray for best when the hope is so little.
