Just wondering - does anybody recall seeing a movie in which the girl was Hindu and the boy was Muslim - and love conquered all. Akbar-Jodha doesnt count!!
I can think of various movies where the Muslim girl adjusted happily in the Hindu boys family...but not the other way around....

Also this Salman Khan-Sushmita Sen-Diya Mirza starrer, where Sushmita Sen is the lady love, who is deceived by Salman's best friend, (dunno his name) who actually turns out to be the anti-hero. The guys are both shooters...
Sushmita aka Mehek dies towards the end.
So Salman Khan a muslim, ends up marrying Diya Mirza, shown a Hindoo.

I am bad with movie quizzes, but I think the foster parents of Hrithik Roshan in this terrorist movie - (am forgetting the name... the Bhumbro Bhumbro one) - Sanjay Dutt and Sonali Kulkarni offer the kind of a combination being sought. Muslim Sanjay Dutt, Hindoo Sonali Kulk.
Or do I remember wrong?!

Not in a bollywood movie, in India this theme will not work at all with the audience. In all major movies of inter-religious themes it is always the hero who is a hindu.
Obviously it is the other way round in Pakistani cinema. No muslim heroine for hindu or christian hero.
Both nations can not stand the notion that their womenfolk can marry the other side.
